New hotel wing with 23 rooms planned for the Hotel Iso-Syöte

Hotel Iso-Syöte, located on the southernmost fell in Finland, is being extended with an investment of over six million euros. The projected three-storey extension will include 23 new hotel rooms and suites.

If the approximately 6.4 million project progresses according to schedule, construction work will begin within a year and the new extension will be completed in 2026. The wing with 23 suites and superior rooms will be added on the hillside of the existing building. The new rooms will increase the number of beds in the hotel by 60.

The Pudasjärvi City Council has approved the application for an exemption for the extension. The project must be approved by the city as the plan exceeds the building rights of the property by approximately 164 square metres. The overrun can be considered minor as it is only about 2 per cent of the total building right.
In order to build the hotel, the actual building permit must be applied for within two years of the deviation being granted.
