Historic change at Helsinki Airport

Airport operator Finavia is about to centralise the check-in, security controls and baggage claims at Helsinki Airport. Departing and returning travellers don’t need to think about anymore which terminal they depart from or arrive at. Having only one single terminal will make it much easier to get around the airport and to meet or escort passengers. All services will be in the same area, which makes them more accessible.

Starting from Tuesday June 21, cars and taxis can drive directly to the main doors. Access is granted also from the train station and the new parking garage P1/P2. Bus station and bike parking are in front of the terminal.
Terminal 1 and 2 will be turned into passenger and staff areas.

New services

New services have been launched at Helsinki Airport. Passengers find a wide range of restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, hairdressing, and beauty services. Moomin Shop and Marimekko Shops complete the list of extraordinary boutiques.

Next up in the development programme is the new baggage claim hall. Work at Helsinki Airport will be finished next year.
