Havila Voyages introduces new cabin and suite categories

Written by Anja | Apr 29, 2025 12:42:11 PM

Clearer booking system and more suites on coastal cruise ships

Havila Voyages is restructuring the naming of its cabins and suites. The goal is to make the selection process easier and more transparent for end customers and travel agents through more precise categories. The first implementation affects the Havila Castor, where twelve cabins have been modernized and upgraded. These cabins, previously categorized as “Seaview Superior Double (SSD),” are now called “Seaview Superior King (SSK).” The new categories will be available for all future voyages of Havila Castor starting May 3.

Gradual update across the fleet

The updated cabin names and codes will initially be integrated into the Seaware booking system. By mid-May, the other three ships of the fleet – Havila Capella, Havila Polaris, and Havila Pollux – are also expected to be fully updated.

More suites on board

Additionally, the number of suites across all four ships will be increased. Several cabins are being converted and reclassified as suites. For instance, a "Seaview Deluxe (SDX)" cabin will become an "Aft View Mini Suite (ZMA)," and a "Balcony Deluxe (BDX)" will be renamed "Balcony Junior Suite (ZJV)."

Automatic upgrades for existing bookings

Existing bookings are not affected by the changes. Guests will automatically receive an upgrade to the new category. Updated booking confirmations will be sent out once the system updates are completed.
