Finnair will significantly increase the number of flights to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland and to Tromsø and Trondheim in Norway for the coming winter season. Up to 63 weekly flights to Rovaniemi are planned, 13 more than last winter. The frequency will be increased, particularly on popular travel days such as Wednesdays and weekends, with flights every half hour on Saturdays.
In addition, there will be six weekly flights from Rovaniemi to Tromsø. The flights between Rovaniemi and Tromsø were first introduced in December 2023, and the connections are operated as ‘tag flights’: Helsinki-Rovaniemi-Tromsø and Tromsø-Rovaniemi-Helsinki. Finnair also offers direct flights from Helsinki to Tromsø all year round. Connections to Trondheim will also be expanded, with six flights per week in the coming winter season.
The winter season extends from October to March, so travellers can also enjoy the beauty of Lapland in late autumn and early spring.
