From 30 November 2026, Finnair will expand services between Umeå, Vaasa and Helsinki. The schedule includes up to three daily departures from Umeå, with services via Vaasa and up to five weekly nonstop flights to Helsinki.
For Benelux tour operators featuring Umeå and Västerbotten, the expansion provides additional flight options to consider. Routing via Helsinki may also be worth exploring for itineraries combining northern Sweden with a stay in Finland.
The usefulness of these services for departures from Benelux will depend on operating days and connection times. Operators should check the schedules for their intended travel dates before building them into a programme.
Visit Umeå reports that international tour operators have already started selling trips to the destination because of the flight connection, while others are considering adding it.
