airBaltic is expanding its operations in Lithuania and will introduce a new direct route from Vilnius to Düsseldorf, Germany, from 31 October 2024. This will be the fourth direct connection from Vilnius to Germany, in addition to the existing routes to Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. Flights will be offered twice a week.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, emphasised the strategic importance of this expansion and highlighted that Germany is one of Lithuania's most important economic partners. The new route aims to improve connectivity for both business and leisure travellers and further strengthen relations between the two countries.
Passengers on the new route can choose between Economy and Business Class, with a flight time of around 2 hours and 15 minutes.
