Lapland Arctic Europe

Lapland Arctic Europe is a tourism export concept that promotes tourism activities of the whole North European Region from the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Sea on the Central European market. Enterprises from Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian Lapland participate in the export network.

Tour operators have accepted the new product concept positively, because the concept simplifies their work – They receive information about products and novelties from one single source.

We would like to welcome all tourism enterprises from the Arctic Circle to the Arctic Sea to join the common marketing campaign. Thereby money is saved and marketing is more powerful. Within marketing state or municipality borders are not important – The customer is only interested in experiencing Lapland

Target

The target is simple: Intensify sales and increase trade. This is achieved by a clear, target group specific product concept and active sales. The growth target is 10 % more sales per year.

Target markets and target groups

Target markets of the export network are German-speaking Europe and Benelux. Target groups: Nature Lovers and Adventure Seekers.

Lapland Arctic Europe product families

The Lapland Arctic Europe- product concept consists of product families: Arctic Ice, Arctic Nature, Arctic Culture, Arctic Adventure, Arctic Wellness, Arctic Ski, Arctic Villages, Arctic Cities. The products are compiled in a Product Manual according to product families, independent of country or region. The Product Manual is the sales tool for tour operator visits.  

Internal communication: The export concept’s internal website www.ArcticEurope.com supplies the enterprises with market information and offers them the possibility to communicate among each other (blog).

eMarketing: The products of the Product Manualiin are promoted on the tourism professionals’ portal www.NordicMarketing.de (German/English). Furthermore the monthly eNewletter NordicMarketing News (German/English) informs 1.700 tour operators and tourist offices about special offers and novelties.

Trainings: We arrange regional training-, feedback, product- and marketing workshops for the enterprises of the export network. If needed, we offer enterprise specific consulting. 

Sales: We accomplish 100 sales visits and we organise 4 sales workshops per year. The participating enterprises receive a report about the sales visits where the tour operators’ contact information and profile as well as their feedback is collected. During the workshops the enterprises sell their products themselves.

Educational-Tours: Tour operators are invited to an Educational Tour to the participating enterprises. 
 
Media: Internationally significant news and events are published for media on www.NordicPress.de. Our contact list contains 600 media representatives. We write press releases and organise press tours.

The network’s regions and enterprises

The Lapland Arctic Europe export network is open for any tourism enterprise that wants to increase its sale on the Central European market and that offers products suitable for the Arctic-product families. The enterprise may join the network also though its tourism resort or another EU-project. The Lapland Arctic Europe export network is purely a business activity, it is not financed by public funds.
