Summer time in Levi is full of interesting and unique happenings not to forget the beautiful and bright surroundings. Take part in the 24-hour biking tour, celebrate the midsummer on top of Levi fell or relax while getting an herbal treatment. Here are some events from the versatile summer event calendar of Levi:

12. – 13.6. LEVI24 mountain bike competition
24 hours of  biking in teams and the longest ride will win. Finnish alpine skier Tanja Poutiainen has her own team to challenge others. Everyone can join this sporty festival with its fun atmosphere!

13.-16.6. Herbal and peat treatment week
Enjoy relaxing treatments at the northern lights farm of Taivaanvalkeat. Different themes, lectures and advices how to use herbals at home.

24. – 27.6. Midnight sun summit for motorcyclists
Motorbike summit during the midsummer celebrations includes parade ride, shows and celebrating.

25. – 26.6. Midsummer celebration in Levi
Midsummer celebration in the Panorama Restaurant Tuikku. Karaoke, dancing with live music and the traditional midsummer bonfire will make this unique Nordic festival unforgettable.

8. – 12.7. Traditional summer market in Kittilä
Feel the carnival atmosphere in the town of Kittilä. A versatile programme for all ages: market stands, live music, dancing, car exhibition, adventure park and  guided tours in different themes just to name a few.

11.7. Crocodile Rock- Fishing competition in Ounasjoki River
Try to catch grayling, salmon trout or perch in the fishing competition in the rapids of the river Ounasjoki.

28.8. Jackpot Hullu Poro Ladies Open Golf tournament
Golf competition for ladies on the beautiful golf course of Levi. Golfing during day time, karaoke and dancing in the evening.

11.9. The 27th Ruska Marathon and 10. -12.9. Ruska Market
42,195 km through a stunning landscape and “Ruska” (autumn colours in Lapland)! Activities for the whole family: full, half and quarter marathon for adults, Ruska Walk for seniors and other easy goers and kid’s runs for young runners up to 12 years.
From Friday to Sunday the Ruska market offers all kind of goods from souvenirs and sports equipment to hot sausages and warm drinks.
