Helsinki: Best Nordic Oddity – World Village Festival
Posted on 24.02.2010 in Culture, Destination, Family, Helsinki, Highlights
Every May since 1995 all cultures of the world come together to meet in Helsinki. Also this year 29.5.-30.5.2010 the World Village Festival offers new insights on tolerance, multiculturalism, development work and global issues through music, dance, arts, circus and activities for the whole family. This multicultural hullabaloo was awarded the Best of Helsinki Award for Best Nordic Oddity in 2009.
Kaisaniemi park and Rautatientori Square will be filled with performers, artists and social organizations from all around the world.
The Finnish service centre for development cooperation, Kepa, is the organizer of the festival. It is the head organisation for many Finnish NGOs working in the development branch.
