The Arktikum, the Provincial Museum of Lapland and the Arctic Centre lead the visitor into the past and explore the present days from an arctic point of view. Living with the nature, surrounded by the nearly all-year-round winter, ice and snow has created many destinies.  The tales of people from the arctic areas, ways of surviving and the rich cultural heritage created by the northern folk is extant in Arktikum’s halls for everyone to see. In Arktikum time stops – and goes by, faster than one can imagine. Take a tour!

After the tour you may find interesting souvenirs at the museum store, search for more information about arctic life in the library and enjoy the cafe’s soup lunch or delicious pastries.

Senior Special Price: 13,50 €/senior (over 60 years old)

Price includes the ticket to all the exhibitions and a map, coffee/tee and a pastry.
Duration: Walk through the exhibition takes about 2 hours.

Option:

  • The German-speaking guide can be booked beforehand
  • Price: 80 € on week days and 115€ on holidays
  • Participants: Max 30 persons
  • Duration: Guided walk about 1 hour.

Prices are valid until 31.12.2009.
