Test many Arctic equipment, such as snowshoes and kick sledges, get familiar with the huskies and drive a husky sledge yourself. During a visit of the unique Amethyst mine you can find your own lucky stone. Come and experience the Lappish winter inmidst the white snowy forest. Stay and relax in the cosy Hotel Luostotunturi.
Day 1 – Looking for Amethysts in Luosto
In the mine amethyst crystals are glimmering in the lantern light. Everyone gets the chance to dig for a stone until the personal lucky amethyst is found.
Duration: 2 hours
Services: Transfer by car to Ukko-Luosto and from Ukko Luosto to the mine by snow track, find your own lucky stone, warm drink
Day 2 – Get familiar with snowshoes
An excursion led by our professional snowshoe instructor.
Services: Snowshoes and poles, Lapland Club snowshoe Diploma, warm drink, guide
Day 3 – Huskyfarm adventure
Exiting visit to the husky farm! At the farm we receive instructions in 6-7 dog husky-sledged driving. Two persons per dog sledge: one as a passenger on the sledge and one can drive.
Duration: 3 hours.
Services: Transfer from Hotel Luostotunturi – huskyfarm – Hotel Luostotunturi, husky drive ca. 1 hour, guide, small snack and coffee/tea
Day 4 – Test the arctic ways of moving
We have selected for you some arctic sport equipment. You can choose from: snowshoes, Nordic walking sticks or kick sledge.
Services: One day rental for one of the sport equipment
Duration: 5 days/4 nights
